How To Stop Smoking with Minimal Cravings

If you want to learn how to stop smoking with minimal cravings, I think I can help. My name is Bill, and I'm an ex-smoker. I quit smoking about 15 years ago. As a smoker, there were just so many things in my life, so many aspects, that everything I did had an added layer, and it had to do with cigarettes. And it had to do with nicotine. Every place I went, every activity I did - literally everything - I had to plan for cigarettes. Smoking cigarettes had to be planned before, during, and after everything so I had to think constantly about the plan for my next cigarette. I believe this actually wears a person out. I'm sure you feel that way as a smoker too. After getting up in the morning, maybe you don't want to smoke in your new car on the way to work. Or maybe you're in a carpool, so you have to have a cigarette before you leave for work, before you get in the carpool vehicle, and when you get to work. Maybe you have to quickly puff away again before you go into your

Learn How To Stop Smoking Without Difficulty

Hi - If you want to learn how to stop smoking without difficulty I think I can help. My name is Bill, and I'm an ex-smoker. I quit smoking about 15 years ago, and as I remember, back when I smoked, there were just many things I didn't like about smoking. I wanted to quit. There were mainly 2 things that were holding me back from quitting sooner. The first one was worrying whether or not I'd be successful, because I didn't want to seem like a failure to people, especially to my family. I think the second thing was that I worried about how hard it would be. How difficult would it be for me to quit smoking? Could I stop smoking without difficulty? So, if you're a smoker, let me ask you a question. First of all, what's keeping you as a smoker? What parts of smoking do you like the most? I mean, is it that you enjoy spending a lot of money on buying cigarettes every week and not having cash available to buy other things? That concept wasn't for me, and it's

Reasons To Stop Smoking - Lung Cancer

I f you need reasons to stop smoking how about lung cancer? I just saw a commercial on TV. It was from New York state where I live. They were talking about how important it is to quit smoking. One of the things that they said was that quitting smoking is difficult.  They also said that telling your family you've got lung cancer is much harder. The commercial showed a man, walking around and obviously troubled, and then he picks up a handkerchief and he starts coughing. His blood is coming out on the handkerchief. It really is kind of sort of a gross commercial, but it brought the point home, so I thought that maybe I'd make this post and video about smoking and lung cancer.  Now I'm no expert on lung cancer, and I thank God that no one that I know has ever had lung cancer. I probably beat the odds when I decided to stop smoking. Anyone that had been a smoker should be thankful for quitting and not getting something as serious as this. But I know that many people smoke, and

Learn How To Stop Smoking Before Your Next Cold

I f you want to learn how to stop smoking before you get your next cold, I think I can help. My name is Bill. I'm an ex-smoker. I quit smoking about 15 years ago, but I remember what it was like getting a cold, or getting a nasal infection, or a throat infection when I smoked. It was miserable! Even just your basic cold was almost unbearable. Now as a non-smoker, when I get a cold, I'm like most people. I'll have it for a couple of days. I'm a little snuffly. I might have a sore throat. I might feel a little miserable. But I take some medicine, and it generally helps me. Even some natural remedies can help me to feel a lot better. As a smoker, every cold became a major problem. I remember day after day of congestion. Tissues, handkerchiefs, nose running and constantly congested. I couldn't breathe normally for a couple of weeks before I would finally get over a typical cold. I remember just feeling so miserable, no matter what I took, it didn't seem to help. I

Learn To Stop Smoking - To Go To Movies

Learn To Stop Smoking - To Go To Movies If you want to learn to stop smoking to go to movies, I think I can help. My name is Bill and I’m an ex-smoker. I quit smoking about 15 years ago, but I remember going to movies when I was a smoker, and I remember all the challenges that it posed. To set this up for younger people, when I was a young cigarette smoker, most movie theaters allowed smoking. It was kind of a common practice that movie theaters back then were larger, and they weren't the multiplexes that we have these days. Very typically, there'd be a balcony section, and a lower section and the balcony section would be the section for smokers. Some theaters were only one level, so generally the back so the back 20 rows or so would be reserved for smokers. The rest of the theater was for non-smokers.  Now I'm sure that if you were anywhere near that line, and you were a non-smoker, the smokers certainly won out in that battle of the smoke! Considering the amount of smok

How To Stop Smoking For Your Children

If you want to learn how to stop smoking for your children, I think it can help. My name is Bill I'm an ex-smoker. I'm lucky enough to have four children and six grandchildren at this point in my life. However, I did smoke for a good portion of my children's early years before I stopped smoking. I'll say that as a smoker, you know that during the many times that you should be focused as a parent on your children's successes, and their victories, smoking gets in the way. The things they're doing, even just the little day-to-day things. The award at a Girl Scouts. The teacher’s meeting. Going to school and watching your kids sing in chorus. Orchestra, band, and sporting events.  There were just so many times, even down to a point like playing video games. I loved playing the early Nintendo games with my kids on my days off. But there were so many times, that after a period of time playing, I'd have to stop and say “Okay let's pause the video game”. I jus
