How To Stop Smoking Before Going on Vacation

If you want to learn how to stop smoking before going on vacation, I think I can help! My name is Bill and I'm an ex-smoker. I quit smoking about 15 years ago and I remember that going on vacation, which should generally be a very happy time, with anticipated fun, can be very different for smokers. Vacations are a period in most people's lives when families get together and do things, or when people go with friends, and everyone experiences different places and activities. Most people anticipate vacations in advance because of the opportunity to enjoy new life experiences and make new memories. However, for cigarette smokers who have not quit smoking, vacation planning begins with anxiety. Smokers plan their days around having the ability to smoke, usually involving familiar places where smoking is allowed throughout their day. Vacations involve being in new places and being involved in new experiences, and this means that when and where to smoke is now questionable during th

How To Stop Smoking The Right Way

If you want to learn how to stop smoking the right way, I think I can help! My name is Bill and  I've been an ex-smoker now for about 15 years. As I remember, I smoked quite a bit of time in my life and my smoking interfered with almost everything that I did. I remember everything from going on trips to Disney World where everybody else around me was happy, but all I wanted to know was where my next cigarette would be. There were car trips with co-workers who were non-smokers, to attend meetings but the non-smokers didn't really want to stop so I could smoke. We'd be driving along and it would get worse and worse, and I'd have to make up excuses and say “Please - I really have to go to the bathroom”. We would have to stop, and then of course, I'd puff on my way to the bathroom and puff them away back to the car.  All this additional effort just to try to get that fix in. There was a time when sitting at restaurants and smoking, while other people eat their meals,

How To Stop Smoking Before Going to a Football Game

How To Stop Smoking Before Going to a Football Game   If you want to learn how to stop smoking at a football game I think I can help! My name is Bill and I'm an ex-smoker. I quit smoking about 15 years ago. I remember so many things about how I felt while smoking. When you go to a football game, for example. Ahead of time, you probably have to ride in a car. Maybe you're riding with some buddies, or maybe you can do some tailgating, but if you're the only smoker, you probably can't smoke in the car. The whole time your buddies are thinking about the football game, you're thinking about the next cigarette. You finally get there and maybe you're lucky enough to have a cigarette out in the parking lot on the way in. Hopefully, you don't annoy the people around you because you know the smoke obviously bothers a lot of non-smokers. You finally get into the game, so you probably paid a good amount of money to get in to see the football game. Your crew is excited

My name is Bill I'm an ex-smoker, I quit smoking about 15 years ago and I never looked back, but I do remember quite a bit of what it was like when I smoked. I started smoking when I was young, and I'm assuming if you want to stop smoking before college, you probably have also begun smoking cigarettes at a younger age as well. I remember when I was in high school, and it was actually the second day of 11th grade for me. Already having smoked for several years, I carried cigarettes with me constantly. Now, this is how things have changed.  When I went to school there was actually a designated student smoking area, which was an area located behind the cafeteria. It was away from where the public would spot it, or where parents might see, in an out-of-the-way spot, but right behind the cafeteria. If you were a

How To Stop Smoking Before You Become a Parent

How To Stop Smoking Before You Become a Parent Hi, my name is Bill and I'm an ex-smoker. I quit smoking about 15 years ago and I remember because I have four children and six grandchildren, I have some regrets.  Unfortunately, I was a smoker for the birth of all four of my children, but let me tell you what some of the memories I have is like, and how you might want to change things for your children. My oldest daughter is now in her later 30s, so this is some time ago. but when she was born, my wife and I were younger parents. Smoking was somewhat more common and as it ended up at the hospital, my wife ended up in the one maternity room that had 4 beds. The others were full and the only space available was this room. My wife was in a room with three other women.  Of course, the nurses bring the babies into the room and they are there much of the day. Our daughter plus three other innocent, tiny babies. After a period of time, I vividly remember that I wanted to have a cigarette.

I remember when I was younger and the first time I ever flew on an airplane larger than a 2-seater. In my case, I didn't fly young, and I never flew as a child or teen, as many people do.I actually was married and had three children, and it was our first trip to Disney World. That was the first time I was actually on a commercial jet. I remember at the time while flying from New York to Florida, that ahead of time, I was very anxious. I wanted a cigarette. I got to the airport and they didn't allow smoking anywhere in the airport. That fed my anxiety and made it really bad for me inside.  Next, we had to wait for a period of time because it was actually in March, and I think they had some icing conditions, and a few things that delayed the plane, which fed my anxiety because I c
